Thanks Celine. M. made dinner for her parents at my house and everything turned out great. They were impressed with how much she learned in only 3 days. I would like to take an evening class from you in the fall so I’ll keep a lookout on the internet for the recreation department offerings.
Linda

I wanted to thank you, again, for the wonderful lessons you have taught my children! It has been a year since we attended a camp with you but we still enjoy the recipes and M. and C. enjoy trying new things! I thank you! This is an excellent time and a great lesson in life….eat and cook healthy 🙂

Hi ms. Celine! Yes My daughter (m.) Has enjoyed both classes she attended. She would love to do it again next year. She attempted to take the cooking camp just recently ….. But we acted too late. Definitely we will be looking for it next summer. And who knows? If your classes are still held when my son is old enough I will definitely sign him up too. He is only 20 months old but I know you have classes for 3 yrs.

Hi Celine. Thank you very much for the cooking class today. The kids had a great time and are both gaining confidence in the kitchen. Originally I had booked it for B. but T. is REALLY enjoying it! He talked about it all night. The pot pies were so delicious. In fact, B. and I both agreed that they were the best pot pies we have ever had. The kids really enjoyed the dessert. So, thank you for another great day!
Talk to you soon,
Stacie

Hi Celine -My daughter E. and I took your mommy & me in the kitchen class a few weeks ago and had so much fun! We are planning on signing up again for March. I also have a son who recently turned 16 and expressed desire in taking a cooking class with me. Are there any classes we can take together? Perhaps you can you give me some information on private instruction or other classes in Murrieta or Temecula that we could take.
Thanks so much!!
Erin

My daughter has taken Celine’s cooking/baking classes for kids the past 3 years and she has learned a lot of recipes. She enjoys Celine’s classes so much. Celine was even able to get my daughter to eat broccoli when they made chicken pot pie in class. My daughter hates broccoli and for her to finish off all the broccoli in the pot pie is amazing! My daughter can’t wait to go to her summer camp class this year.

    Hi, Celine,

I just received your cookbook “Cooking With Trader Joes/Pack a Lunch,” and I’m thrilled with many of the recipes.

However, I must point out that whoever was in charge of flagging the gluten-free recipes as such, and of noting how a recipe might be adapted to be gluten-free, completely screwed up. Several times. And I’m only halfway through the book.

Recipes such as “Crustless Tomato & Tuna Mini-Quiches” and “Green Petite Bites” ARE gluten free–they don’t contain a single gluten-containing ingredient–but are not listed as gluten-free. It’s going to be extremely frustrating for some poor newly-gluten-free hopeful-cook, reading your cookbook, who is going to assume that they can’t make those yummy recipes.

Then the “gluten-free note” for the “Sweet-Savory Sticky Chicken” instructs us to OMIT the 1/4 cup of soy sauce, or to substitute tamari. Subbing tamari is just fine, but omiting 1/4 cup of soy sauce is not–that would TOTALLY change both the texture and flavor of the recipe. And gluten-free soy sauce is VERY easy to find, in any store!!

The recipes are clearly terrific, and I’m looking forward to making many of them; it’s the editing that disappoints me. I hope your editors–or you–can fix these major glitches before the next printing.
