Sunday French Feast cooked by……Joel B.

The week before the American Mother’s Day  ( Mother’s Day in France is at the end of this month) my husband Joel decided to cook for me and the kids! I have to say he does not cook often because I do all the cooking, but when he decides to do it he does it well, too well, like a real Pro. Actually, he saw  ( Saturday morning) my last Donna Hay ( Australian Cooking Magazine) and  all those beautiful food and cooking pictures made him wanted to cook! He did not used this magazine to prepare the Menu but the old French CookBook my parents offered me on Christmas 20 years ago!

I had no idea what Joel was cooking until the lunch was served, he made his Grocery list,  on Sunday morning he went to 3 or 4 different places to grab the perfect ingredients, no substitution.

Here is this impeccable and delicious Menu:

Coquilles Saint Jacques FarciesStuffed sea scallops

coquillesThis dish was full of flavor and very delicate for the palate I enjoyed every bite!

Cotes d’Agneau champvallon- Lamb rack a la Champvallon

I like Lamb but this one was melting in your mouth, the cooking was perfect and the potatoes, onions and all spices and fresh herbs were a wonderful marriage!joelscooking

Macarons au cafe pour Joel et nature pour moi!Coffee Macaroons and plain macaroons for me!

I love, we love, everybody loves Parisians Macaroons! Joel filled them with Coffee cream I had mine without any filling just naked and they were DELICIOUS!

The kitchen was smelling outrageously good all morning.

Bravo et Merci Minou!
